How do I pay for an obituary notice?

If you are a funeral home or crematorium, you may elect to be billed (please contact us for login information if you already have an account). Otherwise, all other notices must be paid in advance by credit card (we do not accept MasterCard).

What if I�m not with a funeral home or crematorium?

If you are a private party (relative of deceased, friend of family, etc.), you may still submit the obituary but we need to legally verify details with a copy of the death certificate or the contact information for the funeral home/crematorium that assisted the family. **Legal verification of death has to occur before an obit can be published**

Can I make corrections/additions to an obituary?

Yes, corrections/additions can be made to an obituary, provided they are received by the deadline of the respective newspaper. Simply log in to your account, locate your obit in the �Future Ads� area, and �Modify� the obit. If you are paying by credit card and you change the cost of the obit, you will be credited/debited the correct amount, depending on if your obit increases or decreases.

Will my notice run in color in the paper?

No, all obits run black and white in the newspaper. The photos remain in color on the screen and will be converted prior to publication.

Is the preview an accurate representation of how the notice will look in the paper?

Yes, what you see is what you will get in the newspaper (photo will convert to black & white). The obituary staff will check the quality of the photo to ensure quality printing but otherwise it will run as is. NOTE: The obituary staff reserves the right to edit the obituary text accordingly and correct the dimensions of the notice if necessary.

What if I miss the deadline for a publication?

Unfortunately, you will need to choose the next available date. If the date is unavailable on your screen, the deadline has passed. (See �DEADLINES� tab for details)
